About Michael Mort, Ph.D.

I was educated as a mathematician and electrical engineer, and even went so far as to get a Ph.D., i.e. a real theoretical-left brained type. In the late 80's I started a small software company which makes image analysis products for scientific research. I sold the company in 1997, and have since left it. Now I exercise the other side of my brain with writing, traveling, and skiing (in the Rockies, the Alps or the Andes). I split my time between an apartment in Arlington, Virginia -- an area of the USA which I absolutely love despite it's dominance by liberals -- and South Beach, Florida, where the weather and nightlife are hot.
